Early Adopters

Early Adopters

Welcome, Early Adopters! You are the pioneers of our move to the Atlassian Cloud. This dedicated space is designed to support you as you explore, test, and break things before we go live.

In this Space, you’ll find training resources to get you up to speed, a timeline of upcoming changes, and direct links to submit your feedback. We are relying on your experience to catch issues early and define best practices. We encourage you to

  • test your daily workflows to see how they translate to the new cloud environment

  • push the boundaries and stress the features to find the limits of the system

  • Let us know what feels intuitive or causes friction to identify gaps where better documentation or training would be useful

Checklist and Reporting Issues

Provided in the Atlassian Cloud Migration Questions and Issues sheet is a checklist for you to go through.

  • Log any issues or questions and record the details in the Issues and Questions sheet.

  • Duplicate the UAT 1 template sheet checklist and rename it UAT1-<your name>, before testing.

Getting Started in Cloud

The main Atlassian Training Space is where you can access basic guidance on how to use the Atlassian Cloud products.

Key Changes

While the experience is largely similar, there are a few distinct changes from Data Center:

Confluence

  • The Content by Label macro has been replaced by the Filter by Label macro

  • Adding labels to a page, is done by clicking the show details icon at the bottom right of a page

Jira

  • Projects are now called Spaces

  • Issues have been renamed work items (work, work types, work schemes, etc.)

  • All users can now create a team-managed project, even non-admins.

Focused tutorials for users migrating from Jira server to Jira Cloud, highlighting differences between Cloud and Server.
